A number of projects have been carried out for the Sydney City Council, working with separate departments, such as Living City Services, Youthscape, "Look of the City", Recreation and Community services, Business Development and Citycare .
Projects have ranged from print design to providing a graphic strategy for building construction site hoarding design for precincts of the Central Business District .
Youthscape Program
Commisioned in 1997, the council brief was to develop an illustrative logo to badge this yearly festival, "Youthscape" , and to apply it across a range of uses such as press ads , posters , programs and flyers.
Living City Services
Produced print material for City of Sydney Living City Services advertising program. This involved copywriting as well as the production of artwork for brochure, press ads and fact sheets, the aim of which was to win private waste contracts as an adjunct to their council responsibilities.
Focussed on pest extermination,,waste removal and heavy fleet maintenance this pictured brochure was direct mailed to the central business district.
The client reported an excellent response rate and flow of business enquiries from this exercise.
City Access Map
This foldout map was produced to provide detailed transport, toilet and service information for local and international visitors during and beyond the Olympic Games.
Specifically produced for those living with physical disabilities it is also a useful general guide to the Sydney CBD .
Look of the City
Commissioned to provide a graphic strategy for construction site hoardings within 5 city precincts. The approach was to develop an illustrative "wallpaper" to mark each precinct using the corporate colours of the City of Sydney.
Applied as modules for ease of use, the design was based around a standard plywood 2.4 metre square panel.
The graphic wallpaper images were isolated and developed as separate modules which could overlaid on any construction zone boundary.
